Looking for a trek that’s scenic, spiritual, and sky-high? Churdhar Peak, also known as Churi-Chandni Dhar (Snow Bangle Ridge), is the highest peak outside the Himalayas and is believed to be a place where even George Everest studied the stars. Beginning from Nauradhar, the trail passes through dense Deodar forests, lush terraced fields, and peaceful alpine meadows before ending in a moraine walk to the summit. From the top, trekkers can witness breathtaking views of Kedarnath, Badrinath, the Sutlej River, Shimla, and surrounding Himalayan ranges.
Depart from Delhi around 10:00 PM by luxury Tempo Traveller, Volvo or car. Stop for dinner during the journey. Enjoy fun ice-breaking activities like Antakshari, dumb charades, dance-offs and interactive games while travelling overnight.
Arrive at Chopal village and check into the hotel. Freshen up and enjoy breakfast, then take a leisurely walk around the scenic village. Lunch at the hotel; afternoon exploring nearby attractions or relaxing. Evening tea and snacks, free time to prepare for the next day’s trek. Dinner and overnight stay in Chopal.
Enjoy breakfast before starting the trek to Churdhar Mahadev Temple. Trek distance: 9 km, approximately 4–5 hours through scenic meadows, forests and mountain trails. Reach the temple at 3,647 metres, explore the peaceful surroundings and check into the guesthouse. Attend the evening Aarti; dinner and overnight stay.
Attend the early morning Aarti with a Himalayan sunrise and enjoy breakfast. Explore the temple surroundings, then descend from Churdhar. Visit Shimla Mall Road for some leisure time before beginning the return journey to Delhi in the evening. Reach Delhi the following morning.
